Any News On Reproduction Aero & Acr Kits??

Just thinking of alternatives:
The reason I ask is if I cant get what I want for my SSG Coupe by March I will build a SSG (clone)ACR myself...I know we will not see a SSG ACR from Dodge in 09 and probably never so can anyone chime in on how hard would it be for a good body shop to paint my car with the black ACR center band and an approximate cost to do so? I would either go with a repro. ACR wing and splitter or just the repro.aero kit..
I would still love to get a Yellow(very slim) or Orange ACR but just cant afford to lose my pants on my SSG to do so...and I do LOVE SSG!!!

PS..If any dealers out there have anything but a black ACR they want to trade for my car(at a fair price for both of us)) let me know....Kevin

To do the black on top right you will need to remove all the panels, of course you can't do the top easy though. I would look to spend the better part of $7500 to do it as good or better than the factory can. This is without the drivers stripe.

As for the aero kit I can set you up with a nice one pretty reasonably that will work like the ACR. It is a great cost effective way to do this.

I dont think its ********,lol but SSG was a big hit and it seems like they just made enough in 09 (20 units) to use up excess paint from 08...I sure they would sell more standard vipers too if they offered SSG and Race Yellow.
Iam also aware that with all of the turmoil that colors of Vipers is a pretty low priority.

By all panels do you mean fenders and quarters too or just hood and hatch? Are the drip moldings on the front fenders under the hood and rear hatch painted the body color on the ACR or are the black if you get the center band? I can see taking the rear off too to paint that...I would definately want a SSG drivers stripe too if I went that far.

As for the wing and splitter I would want an exact clone or real thing as the ACR even though its not a REAL ACR...It would probably be tracked only for driving schools and Viper days. I HAVE to get out to Miller Motorsports Park which is close!!! Kevin

Just the hood, hatch, front and rear fascias would need to come off. The SSG stripe would add probably 1500 more if done all at the same time, you might even find a shop that would throw it in during the color change.

The Aero kit I'm talking about is similar to the Comp Coupe setup rather than the ACR. There are people here fabricating clones that may be reasonable in the end compared to the unobtainable factory ACR parts.

Not hard really it just follows the lines of the hood and hatch down through the fascias. If you need measurements for the drivers stripe I can get those for you, we have done 5 of these for customers already. The black is standard Viper black.

LOL, I have already thought of that I also want motons,HRE 546s with black centers I still will have to wait until someone fabricates the ACR wing splitter and dive planes at a real world price so I can have it all put together at once..I dont want to bug everyone too much about this until I know I cant deal for a 08/09 ACR...Dodge can save me alot of trouble and money by making a SSG ACR..hint...hint...

Remember when you say no one is willing to deal that there is a supply and demand thing going on, there ain't any ACR's for sale, check ebay. Supply is gone and the supply was VERY limited to start with.
BUT if you pay MSRP for one now or close to it you will be living in a little protected bubble that will not suffer the depreciation the regular model has. Sorry, regular guys, it is what is is.
I think your issue is the trade in. Sell it on the open market, take the hit, get into an ACR and be a LOT more protected from depreciation. It ain't gonna get any better, as housing prices go down so will the price of a regular Viper.
When I traded my 06 in on the ACR less than a 6 months ago the trade in price was 10k higher than it is now. It won't get better unless the economy improves. And it probably will get a lot worse.
And if you put money into modding the car to equal the ACR it will also be money lost, you never get your money back from mods, it just makes you feel better short term as you equal the perfromance but the car just continues to bleed cash in an accelerated manner.
Put an order in for an 09 ACR, you won't get it till June anyway in my opinion and put your car on EBay and Autotrader at something that will move it, ultimately you will come out ahead a year down the road. Just my humble opinion.

ASP, My wife does show car quality paint work. We could paint the black on there for ya for a hellova lot less than 7.5 K... Then add the splitter and wing when you get them. Ask some of the Minn. members about her work.

No, I have no plans for those at this time as I have another major project I've started.
