Just curious to see if any SRT-10, or Viper owners for that matter, will be participating in the Gumball 3000. From the official newsletter, the vehicles expected to participate are:

The chequered flag drops at 6PM in Paris on Wednesday (May 5th) outside the George V Hotel, where all 200 amazing Super and eccentric cars will set off for a whirlwind 3000 mile adventure passing Madrid, Marbella, Casablanca, Marrakech, Fez, and Barcelona before finishing in Cannes, 6 days and 5 sleepless partying nights later. 200 cars are taking part with 65 Ferrari's (including 5 Enzos), 30 Lamborghini's, Pagani Zondas, Porsche's, Lotus', Bentleys and Rolls Royces as well as Hummers, Limousines, old American Muscle cars, Japanese modified vehicles, a Citroen 2CV and even a London Taxi!

He is running it with the outfit from what I understand. I was scheduled to do it, but couldn't come up with the funds. I think there is another one, but I am not certain.

The http://www.torquenstein.net/ team ran... but Jerry crashed his Venom SRT at 140mph !! on saturday in Morocco, very lucky driver and passenger sort of walked away with slight injuries, they are said to have continued on in the H2 support vehicle

The Viper ended up been a total loss, 150 metres off the road :(
There has been quite a few crashes this year unfortunately

OUCH!!! At least the people are ok. I wouldn't want to crash in Morocco. Can't imagine the hospitals there are all that terrific. Any details on the crash? Did the car roll? Did it impact any stationary objects?

Does he have pictures? In car video? If so, I hope he posts it. I'm interested to see how a SRT-10 acts in a crash.

From reading the web site, I got the impression that the Gumball 3000 was more of a cruise than a race. I guess if he was going 140mph that I was wrong on that account.

No doubt we'll see the parts for sale on Ebay before too long.
