Anybody that may know, please help.

I am looking to replace the gas cap cover and replace it with a flush machined piece to trim the look out a bit. My problem is, looking at the cover and how it is mounted, how can you take the whole assembly off without drilling? I don't want to damaged anything past the point of putting it back to factory stock. Also, does anybody have an extra assembly they want to part with cheap? I need a second assembly to modify so that it will mount cleanly. Thanks in advance,
