Anybody tried the BF Goodrich G-force T/A R-1s for drags?

Used the earlier (non G-Force) R-1's at Pomona. They were designed as roadracing tires, with very hard sidewalls. Only get stickey when very hot. When cold they are more slippery then MXX3's. Serious burnout is difficult without linelock.

Turned a 11.9 with 96 GTS with SVSi headers.

Not the hot setup. Purner's slicks and skinny's are the way to go.
If using slicks strongly consider upgrading half-shafts.

Then you are into the 11's and track officials will ask you to go home, as you lack mandated safety equipment.

Paul you are exactly right. Put some BFGoodrich Gforce R1 on the back of my 97 GTS. Very slippery cold but after heating them up at the strip, i dropped 3 tenths 60 foot time.

BFG drags on 10" Viper front wheels(used on rear!) is
a big improvement and the least costly and safe (easier on driveline) .
