Looking at the tire rack site tonight and I ran across Kumo tires which they've got different types for each tire. There's Heat Cycled, shaved 4/32's, and regular tires. What's the advantage of one over the other, and should I really worry about it for typical street use and occasional drag strip use ?? The regular tires run 10 bux each cheaper than either the heat cycled, or shaved tires.

Shaved 4/32's means the tires have literally had 1/4" of tread removed to make them track ready. This is a common practice in forms of racing where street tires are required.

Not sure about heat cycling.

Get the regular tires. The Kumo's are soft and will wear quickly anyway.
