Thanks for the offering guys but I'm not going to waste anyone's time after speaking with him again this morning. When I spoke to the owner last night, he clearly made it sound like he purchased the car from the first owner.
After reviewing the Carfax again this morning, the ownership history did not make sense. I questioned him this morning after posting here and finally pulled out of him that he was actually the 4th person in possession of the car. Two of the owners never transferred the title into their names. Things even got more wishy-washy from there, conflicts, "I forgot to tell you that", etc. Too fishy to waste anyone's time.
I REALLY appreciate the offering to look her over Chris and Tailwag. Thanks a million.

Care to elaborate and share with the rest of us
It's a "small world" story. I bought a GTS from one of Chris's e-bay listings back in 2004 he put up for one of the Kansas members. Turns out, the same guy was the previous owner of this car.
I later found out the owner prior to him was a guy that was actually at my house a couple years ago...both VERY meticulous owners.
I called both guys and discussed the car, looked at lots of photos, and found out all of the maintenance history. Looks promising now.
The only history I do not have is the past 10 months in the hands of the current owner. There is only 90 more miles on the car. Chris is going to take a spin and look her over. I'll post an update later.
