I called the guy just now. Nobody's home so I left a message to have him call me right away. Hey ACR........Thanks for the Carfax !! I was also looking at the one on ebay from Texas ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1833430610 ) it's a '97, but he says that there's been some repainting done around the rear window area that goes back to the rear spoiler into the stripes. He also said you can see the rework in the "right light". That tells me it wasn't a quality job. He also said that there's a door ding in the pass door, and the tires have 1/3 tread left on'em. He said he'd take 46.5k for it.

That Second Viper. The '97 has been on Ebay 2 times that I know of and never sold.

Probably should steer clear of it.

I also just noticed the Ebay ad says
This Viper is absolutely perfect with the exception of a few under-fascia rub marks (from parking) however these are completely unnoticeable unless you are laying down in front of the car and they still aren't that bad. Car has been checked out by Kieth Laxton at Huffines Dodge in Lewisville (he is the best Viper technician in the DFW area) and if you would like to ask him ANYTHING about my car I'm sure he would be glad to help you out. E-mail me for his phone number.

So the guy is posting Bu11SH1T on the condition of his car.

Notice also been up for bid for days and not bids.

I would stay far away.

When i spoke to the guy on the phone, he told me that he tried to sell it to a dealer, and that's when they showed him the defects on the car. He said he's owned it for a year, and he also sounded like he was in Highschool. He knew nothing about the car other than what the dealer told him about it last week. He said that there's also curb rash to the rims which sux, and the door carpet was starting to show wear too. It really makes me wonder what's really wrong with it if a dealer shyed away from it too. It's kinda funny that he even told me about that....lol.
