I am looking at a red 1999 GTS to purchase locally, and would appreciate anyone with CARFAX access looking up the VIN and
information for me please? VIN is 1B3ER69E1XV504519 .

ok, I test drove the beast today. It felt very tight, no rattles or squeeks. Wheels look excellent, tires have good tread, no visible waves or blemishes looking along the panels. The history: Original owner was 'GE Credit Leasing'. Then sold at auction on the East Coast with 2447 miles, now 3900 miles. Factory warranty good until July 2002. VIN again is B3ER69E1XV504519 . Only Carfax note was 'Commercial Registration'. Does anyone recognize a car like this, possibly from Florida ? I am taking it to a good body shop I know well tomorrow, and to Heffner's Performance. The car is being sold by Prestige Imports of Baltimore for their client. Asking price is $57,900. Comments or information anyone ?

Be cautious.... although Carfax is a good idea it does not provide accurate damage history.

Hmmm, I'm guessing a car rented out of an exotic car rental operation.... We've come across some really scary cars available in Florida or which were once in Florida.

Don't be afraid to look beyond local cars to get the right car. VCA members can arrange to do a first pass inspection of a car for you no matter where it is!!!!
