Saw an Australian (plain red) GTS cruising around near Brighton Chrysler today. Noted:
1. Wheels look 96 GTS with the center hubs (weren't they the weak ones?)
2. Hood corner not rounded
3. Conversion looks good, but room in the new driver's side looks cramped
4. Apparently it has adjustable pedals
5. Couldn't look under the hood, but word is they use a Cherokee steering rack????
6. Floor area was cookin ;-)
7. Front licence plate was just screwed on (argh)
8. Logo on rear bumper was "Chrysler"
This car was apparently a "Chrysler Australia" car and is not for sale.. they are apparently only bringing 20 to Australia, I believe one of the other 5 is this car, and 4 went to New Zealand.
Pricing is apparently 265 to 285 (body style). 2 of Victoria's 4 are already sold. They are officially released October 17, but are confident they will all be pre-purchased. It was on permanent test drive for the sales guys. I wonder who is going to service them?
My compliments to y'all down at 911 Factory / Viperformance. Car looks sweet. I don't think the sales guys believed I was serious about getting one... I hate being young. Still, not as young as Final GTS. He must have gotten a hard time.
