I've had my '01 RT/10 listed on this sight in the classifieds, and also on AutoTrader. I received a call from someone at the Auto Toy Store in Berlin, NJ. They want to put my car on consignment. They deal in high line cars, have no Vipers, and need one to put in their show room. I was "guarenteed" (you know how that goes) that my car would sell in two weeks, and I would get my asking price, and they would keep anything over. I'm not inclined to do this, as I don't like having the car out of my sight, anything could happen, lot boys and sales managers having their way, un-monitored test drives, and who knows what else. Before I call them and say "Thanks, but no thanks, but your're welcome to buy it", I'm interested if anyone knows of this dealer, and what feedback there is. Thanks in advance.

There store is KNOWN for cars with stories! The latests is the 575M in Blue with White/Cream Interior that is on the floor. Was COMPLETLY repainted according to many sources. Once approached regarding the matter, the decided to remove pictures from their website that showed that the car might have been in an accident.

Hmmm, pm taximan on them. He had his PERFECT 01 yellow GTS on consignment with them and both he and his father bought and sold vehicles with them. They do have some goodies there. They also love to leave the exotics outdoors in the weather. See lambos and F cars outdoors all the time overnight.

You should have told them that if they are SO confident they will have it sold in 2 weeks and you will get your asking price then tell them to skip all the BS and just write you a check now. They can bother with the rest.

over 60 pics there. If it was repainted I couldn't notice it.

I'm going to have to go with you on this one however if I'm right don't most exotic car companies have a thing where you can send the car back to the factory and get a repaint of color choice? I know for sure McLaren does this.

Looks similar to this blue...

Possibly, but the implication made was the dealer in question was up to something by removing photos in an effort to "hide" something. A tad different then what you example. I have only heard good thing from people that did business with Auto toy store.

Gus, I talked to them about a year and a half ago about buying a s/c sapphire r/t like yours. Car had 3500 miles on it with the Roe charger. Looked great in the pictures, but the salesman was asking so much for the car (78k) that I didn't even waste my time going up to look at it. The guy was extreely arrogant, acting as if I was wasting his time when I offered $60k for the car. Your answer is simple....tell them to write you a check for the car and they can do what they want.
