I'm looking for an Autoform Roll Bar.

Where is the best place to get one? The Autoform website
( www.autoformgroup.com )seems to be down. Do you need to get them directly from Autoform, or do they have distributors?

Regarding installation, is this something my local Dodge dealer can do, or do I need to take the car to a specialty racing shop to get the roll bar installed?

Any idea on what the prices are for an Autoform roll bar, and how long it should take for installation?

Also, any good sources out there for Teamtech 6 point harnesses?

Thanks

Kai

where do you live? Autoform is in southwest Michigan and they will sell and install the roll bar for you, i think they will also install the 5pt harnesses also. ithink you can also arrange for the install at a viperdays event, Autoform attends those events for sales and track support

I live in Colorado. Although driving to Michigan might be fun, I doubt I've got the time off to do it.

I had mine installed at Autoform last summer. They sell them direct and I think also though Parts Rack. You can install them yourself but it looks like kind of a trick. You might be better off having it installed. But check out a previous thread where someone installed it them self and has many pictures posted as to the process. Six point harness is also available from Atuoform or Parts rack.

It is my opinion that the Dodge dealer whom has never installed one before, therefore taking many hours to do this would charge you an arm and leg as they say.

My advice is to go to a car audio store, preferably one you know, and let them do this. They just so happen to be the best around at tearing into your car. This would be a snap for them to do, and they will give you an up front price. Believe me they are better suited to do this than the dealership. I've seen them remove the complete inside of a car and put it back together in a day or so. One other place as a second choice would be an uposterery shop. This job would be a snap for them.

While you have the car apart in this area, put in some additional sound deadning material behind the seat. This is where much road noise is generated. The Dodge dealer will be wanting $75.00 an hour for this kind of work. I would doubt they would be as presice and neat as the above. Please don't take this wrong, If you have a really good relationship with your dealership, and they may have a good interior man there for all I know. If this is the case and they give you a break on the labor rate, go for it.

So what was the cost for the bar and the install, direct from Autoform?
