IMO, as a halo car, the Viper's job is to generate LUST. Even if a person can't afford a Viper, you want them to LUST after a Viper; dream about owning a Viper. You want stands full of fans chanting, Viper! Viper! Viper! And that means an active and successful racing program. You want a physical presence that can't be ignored. You want all the physical senses under attack when a Viper is present. You want people wanting to touch the Viper. You want people to go glassy eyed when they see a Viper. Get what I mean?
Of course you don't want a garage queen, or kit car like quality, or bad ergonomics. That stuff goes in the catagory of "givens". The Viper must meet those standards.
IMO, you need a Viper that generates the kind of excitement that the Gen I car did for a somewhat different generation of buyers and "lusters" whose expectations are somewhat evolved.
