How about a lighter battery. Those mentioned above probably weigh 45 lbs.Is there anything lighter? Say about 20 lbs.

When you replace yours, clean the battery tray with bakingsoda/water and scrub the rust/dirt off. Hit it with a hammer tuff rustoleum (black). Then put the battery back in

Autozone Optima red top.Might have to stretch your battery tray a little like I did since it is a tight fit.Used a bottle jack for a little stretching. No two battery boxes are exactly the same and some are a little to tight. No vents,no leaks no acid fumes or spillage eating away at your car. You might be surprised when you check a wide selection type battery comparison...recently read one that at least reaffirms my own prejudice...Die-hard Gold hard to beat interms of availability (to purchase AND to return for warranty), price (about $80.00), CCA, size/fit, length of useful life in OUR Vipers. Am NOT recommending this for track as I really do NOT know about leakspill status...noting that we have them in 3 of 5 Vipers that see street usage with NO problems at all.

Hands down, Optima. Closed cell about $109 at Autozone. I bought sku 260-3760 red 75-35. There were two models exact size but one had higher cranking amps. I paid the extra $10 and got the better one. Fit in perfectly.
