I just received my set of 18" BBS wheels ( thanks Jon B ) and now need tires. Any recommendations on type, style & cheapest place to purchase?? I plan on doing road courses like POCONO, Lime Rock, Nazareth, Englishtown, etc. I'm thinking Hoosier's??

Jamie,

I have run Goodyears and Kumos and Hoosiers. If your not limited to what tire you run in your car classification, then I would recommend Goddyears, but they will also put a tremendous amount of wear on your vehcile (bushings and steering rack) The goodyears are true slicks. I run Hoosiers on my car and it hooks up nicely. We all run Hoosiers in Viperdays.Good Luck!

Bernie is fast on the Goodyears ( well, actually he is fast on anything ) , but what he failed to mention is that you would have to get 16" rims and probably spacers to run the Goodyears. They are also illegal in ViperDays, and their wear time is fairly short. Go with Hoosiers if you want a sticky DOT tire, or stay with Michelins if you don't want to run in the Unlimited Class. I would call Bobby Archer Motorsports for the Hoosiers, as they also provide track support for all Viper Days events, and they will be there when you need them!!

goodyears are available in 16 (up to 14" wide for the rear of a viper and DONT require a spacer), 17 and 18" diameters. it all depends on how fast you want to be and what diameter/width wheel you are using.
