Thanks in advance for your help. Getting closer to completing my project 2009 Viper. Going with the White/Black/Red ACR Paint scheme and plan to go with a Black Chrome finish on the stock 5 spokes. Seems that actual black chrome is becoming harder to find as it's not so environmentally friendly. PVD finish appears to be similar - and I would value any real world experience. Personal preference on black chrome - so plain black is not an option for me.

Can anyone recommend a shop that offers this service that they have been personally happy with? In doing a google search, i came up with Black Diamond Wheel in Fullerton, CA @ http://www.blackdiamondwheel.com/blackchrome.html. Approximate 2 week turnaround and about $900. Used Calchrome before - but they no longer offer black chrome.

Not sure if there are any site sponsors that offer the service - or if they just farm out??

Thanks!

If Cal Chrome no longer offered black chrome, they would not have a black chrome link on their website. Cal Chrome is the best. Several members here have used them and they are highly recommended.

Very odd - they actually did not have it on their website 2 weeks ago and I even called them as I was very happy when I used them to chrome my 5 spokes on my '05. I will call them again today to see what the story is.

Can someone also confirm that the center pieces are metal not plastic - as on the Calchrome website they make it clear that they can not black chrome plastic pieces.

So I just got off the phone with CalChrome. Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt based on being a happy customer from the past ...... BUT I did not get a warm fuzzy feeling after talking with them. My first question was - are you still doing black chrome and they said Yes and No???? Sounds like they are having some "equipment issues" and they said it could be 2-4 weeks to get them back. Also said that they could NOT do the center caps - which would mean I would have to do a Duplicolor Black Shadow or Rustoleum Blackout paint to the center caps and hope for a half-way decent match. Quoted standard prices of $175 each for the fronts and $187.50 each for the rears.

If need be, I have billet wheel center caps available
