Florida,
I also bought my car and drove it back 1200 miles. I had the similer trip along with checking on my car every hour at the hotel durring the night. Your story brought back memories. I was in a little town trying to find a gas cap that I had left 2 hours back.A dentist would have made a fortune there. But the people were nice and they got me fixed up and on my way. Your car looks great. I would have preferred to get a white viper but the window thing swayed me to a black 1999 RT10.

Agree story is another Viper epic...have followed your progress, agree you have a great car. We had a problem with a broken top on delivery, dealer PROMPTLY shipped another that was SMASHED by UPS ( packing job NOT the greatest in my opinion), but FINALLY got THIRD top with no injuries. Have you called JonB at Parts Rack? (1-360-837-3937). Also, you might try Nancy in parts at Woodhouse ( 1-800-889-1893) or call Fitzgeralds ( 1-800-VIPER15) to see if they (being LARGE dealers) have any take-offs. WELCOME aboard, and good luck.

Congratulations on your car! It is a beauty (as are all Vipers)! I enjoyed your story, pictures and especially your captions. It reminded me of my first long trip in my 95 RT/10. Instead of rain, we had ... wet, heavy snow ... in the Rockies. As you can guess, it made for a really "interesting" trip with the wide tires and excess horsepower/torque. Oh well, I guess now I can smile about it. Good luck and I hope you continue to enjoy your Viper.
