No diffusers or splitters on the ACRs. Are those components part of the extreme aero option? or standard items just not fitted for the photos? Last color is ceramic blue?

Some of the cars depicted are the Viper TA 2.0 Note the all black and the orange ones above are clearly TA 2.0 since it says TA on them. Others just have an aero kit. Look at the front side of the fender. You can make out what they are on many of them.

Some are saying there is the 2016 ACR, then their is the 2016 ACR with Extreme Aero Package. Maybe one of the big dealers can confirm.

I saw that article. I think the writer did not look carefully at the photos and confused the TA 2.0 with the ACR. The ACR is the one introduced by Tim at the Plant. The description of the car by Tim discusses the amount of down force. That much can only be obtained with the aero package on the car shown.

Some are ACRs. The black car with the red stripe says ACR. The red car with the black center and stripe is not an ACR. It has no front fender removable vents and other ACR components are missing. The light blue one with the black middle is an ACR since it has the fender vents. Except for the car that was used to introduce the ACR, none of the cars marked ACR show the add on front splitter component with the wires of the intro car. I would guess that this is because we are looking at preproduction models that have not yet been completed and that the ACR front splitter with the cables is put on later after final testing to avoid damaging it moving around the plant, etc.. Note the holes visible on the driver's side of the splitter piece on the blue one with the black center. They are clearly attachment points for the additional wider splitter blade. That would make sense so when you are not tracking it, you can take off the two cables; undue the bolts; and remove it for ease of driving around town. There is already precedent for this since the Gen IV ACR front splitter has a removable center piece for the same reason. Also, in some of the close up photos of the intro car available on the net, you can see that the additional blade is connected to the shallower blade by bolts all across it. Just look at the fourth picture down at this link. http://www.allpar.com/cars/viper/ACR-X/2016-ACR.php

That's not correct. The red car is an ACR without the "Extreme" package. The Extreme package consists of the biggest wing, bigger stations, different hood and the front splitter. Not sure about the CCB's. It's the 'base' ACR.

Extreme package:

EXTREME AERO PACKAGE
- AERO WING ASY KIT - EXPOSED WEAVE
- EXTREME WING SPOILER - EXPOSED WEAVE
- EXTREME FRONT SPLITTER
- UPPER DIVE PLANES
- WHEEL HOUSE VENTS
- EXTREME REAR DIFFUSER

Whoa, love the dark blue with red stripes ---just add the red seats and bingo , that would be beyond striking!!!

I agree. If I get one, I'm thinking that what you just described would be one of my options. I'll wait until I see a yellow/blk stripes ACR though. :)

Go here: http://www.drivesrt.com/viper-acr/gallery/

Note in particular where it says: "Detachable front splitter extension"

This SRT page suggests that the "extreme aero" is part of the regular ACR package. Is there a release from SRT indicating otherwise?

Easiest way to tell if it is a TA 2.0 or an ACR is if it has the hole in the wing, ACRs have the 2 levels of wing on the end, 2.0s don't.

Yeah, the silver, black, and red paint is awesome.

Agree, very nice looking. Reminds me of when I saw the first ACR prototype at Cobo Hall. It was grey with a black center band and a red stripe. Bought one of those when they became available.

I just looked at these photos again. Has anyone else noticed that the black center band and the "stripe" are off set to the driver's side? They did not do that on the generation 4s. I think it should be symmetrical. Looks odd to me.
