Buying first Viper??

[Supercharged Vipermad]

After 16 years of Corvettes, I am looking to buy a -94 Viper RT/10. Due to limited amount of money (have to feed 2 kids and a wife too??) I had to set the limit at 45.000$. I have been looking at diffirent year models, but seem to be limited to -94 or -95, since they are the first ones with A/C. (Texas weather requires A/C)
-96 on the other hand would interest more due to more HP, but price is beyond 50K...
I am looking at cars with reasonably low mileage (about 8000-20000)and in good condition. Colour: Red or Black

Are there any specific problems with these yearmodels?
Any recommendations on -94 or -95?
Is the -96 basically same car as -95&94, except the HP rating?
How much is the insurance (I am male, over 40, no tickets)
Any other info would be greatly appreciated!!!

Lauri, I live in Dallas and would be happy to help in any way. I absolutely love my 94 RT (sometimes wish I had "real windows") as it is an awesome car. I have a 96 GTS in the classifieds, but understand the pricing issues (one reason I have my 94). Let me know how I can help

Jon,

Would those annoying gasket problems which were solved for the '95's include the head gaskets? It'd be nice not to have to worry about those going every 20K miles.
