and see where your jumper plug that replaces the Canadian daytime running light module is mounted. The DRL module on Canadian cars is bolted on the passenger side top of the squarish aluminum frame rail that crosses in front of the engine. The jumper plug that replaces it on U.S. cars has a plastic "Christmas tree" type screw coming out the side of it that obviously is intended to attach to something, but the screw is quite a bit larger than the hole on the frame rail where the DRM was bolted. The jumper plug is 2-3 inches long and has a 3-4 inch red wire loop coming out the back of it, and the wiring harness that plugs into it (which I unplugged from the DRM) comes up just inboard of the right front wheelwell. Before I start drilling holes or resorting to zip ties, if someone could take a peek in their engine compartment and see where their plug is attached, I would be most grateful!
P.S.--Chuck Tator continues to amaze! Chuck spent a lot of time last week figuring out how to order the plug, and my plug arrived Saturday via express mail along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope and an invoice for the exorbitant sum of $8.20. And not only that, the box also contained two Tator's Dodge key rings and a Tator's T-shirt in Viper red! I figure Chuck made about a buck on the part, and after subtracting the long distance phone calls to me, the shipping, the stamp, the key rings, and the shirt, he's about 15 or 20 bucks in the hole. I guess I better find some more expensive things to order!
