Be careful doing that - I don't know what the radar is like on the left coast, but over here, I come across x-band cops more frequently than the literature would suggest occurs...

In the six months I've had my Valentine I have not come across a single X band bogey, just alot of false signals. Lots of Ka bogies (CHP), and one confirmed K bogey, no laser bogies yet.

I've never received a "hot" X-band in SoCal. Some K-bands have been hot, and most all Ka-bands are hot. Instant-on Ka band is the one I was caught with (once). I've never seen an officer when my detector signals laser. All of this with my Passport 8500 in a Boxster S. I'm still considering the right detector for my 01 GTS. Anyone out there try K40 in the GTS - comments?
