Ok I did a search and didn't find the answer to all my questions. Then again when people start posts with stuff like this What do I get when . . . it makes it hard to look at 30 threads and know what they are about, unless you read each one.

So anyyyyyyyy ways.

I am going to go visiting some friends and will not have access to a garage for a couple of weeks. I am thinking of getting a car cover. Of course with so little space in the trunk there wont be much extra room.

If you have used a car cover your input would be apprecited. Stuff like where you got it, how much etc.

Also when putting it on and off every day is there a risk of scratching the paint?

Go to www.BigSkyCarCovers.com They have just about any material you could want and can provide alot of answers. They are custom made though, it could take a couple of weeks to get your cover. I bought an indoor cover from them and am extremely happy with the material and cut.

I got my Mopar car cover from JonB @ Partsrack.
The cover is very nice, with a Viper logo on the front. It also comes with a bag, which can be used for the cover, or also as a weekend getaway bag. It easily fits into the trunk, since its not too big. Good Luck.

Thanks for all the info so far. I should have meantioned this will be a 2400 mile road trip with my gf so we have to have room in the trunk for clothes.

Now that I see some of the respnses I am thinking I probably will have no room to put the cover in the trunk???

You quickly learn when traveling in a viper with a blonde cup holder the only thing to pack is a brief case full of cash or an empty credit card.

The empty trunk is for makeup, hair brushes, and **** lingerie.

Oh I guess that was a little off the subject.

NEVER MIND

RT/10 or GTS?

GTS should be no problem.

RT/10 without the soft-top will work, but you'll have almost no room for anything else of significance. (And you'll probably already know it's tough to fit two people's worth of three/four-day luggage into a totally empty RT/10 trunk.)

RT/10 with the soft top -- impossible. And no luggage unless you plan to wear speedos the entire vacation. <shudder>

I thought saying in the trunk would signify RT/10 But I should have been more detailed.

Yes RT/10 going hard top until I get to where I am going then take it off.

As far as the Speedo ahhhhhhhhhhh yea <shudder> is RIGHT !!

I was considering the Fed Ex idea but I will be driving a couple days and then be in Canada a couple days then drive a day back in the states. Drive another day, stay a few days etc. Actually it is looking more like about 3000 miles.

Guess I will change the oil just before I leave and then again when I get back.

If I did the Fed Ex thing the poor Fed Ex guy would have to be chasing me.
