do/will they have specific shops or something set up for all these vipers who will undoubtedly need detailed upon arriving and throughout the weekend? i know i can easily bring a bucket and my chamois but id rather be having fun and drinking a couple beers instead of spending a couple hours detailing my snake

My saphire blue gts is sparkling clean and shiny. The only thing I'm planning to do to it is check fluids, tire pressures and possibly clean the windshield. It should look like a road warrior once in a while.Same as my dodge ram needs to be muddied up once in a while.I might give it a quick wash when I get home and maybe not. There's plenty of time to the clean and detail things up here during the sports cars off season. I like your attitude, I'm right with ya. My Black car is a pain to maintain clean, so I'll do what I can, but when the beer calls, I must go.

At VOI 6 in St. Louis, they had two possibilities: A car wash service at the parking garage (not endorsed by Dodge, just a company that did it there normally), and a "wash center" at the track. This one was pretty slick, as they had most of the cleaning supplies provided free of charge. No hi-pressure wand, just a hose with decent pressure and a spray nozzle. But they had all the wash mits, soaps, etc., generally provided by vendors. While I only used it once, it was convenient. Having a black car and successfully trying to weasel my way into the front row of the group photo, I wanted it to be relatively clean.

You will see a LOT of people out there with dusters, Zaino/Meguiar sprays, and towels to do minor touch up. Pretty ineffective if it rains, but generally a good solution otherwise. I plan to bring a couple towels and some Zaino spray to keep it relatively clean. Figure 15 minutes tops, with plenty of beer time left over!
