might be of interest to other owners replacing their hood with a carbon fibre one, i was concerned about the strut pressure and hood manufacturer comments on not to use struts, didnt want the hood to slam shut by mistake so ended up with what i think is a fairly neat fix,

ended up using an Anderson hood, a pair of Quick latch low profile hood pins and a Carbon fibre hood prop (both available through them)

made up a small bracket for the lower and bolted to hood latch,

then drilled hole in the hood, reinforced it and fitted the hood pin unit to that.

the hood prop i have had bonded so i dont have to worry about it pulling out of shortening and best of all it fits in the boot on the truck lid

the rod has the quick latch ends bonded in it which results in a positive latch each end and one that wont come out unit you want it too,

only issues i found was the anderson hood was near perfect on the outside but pretty rough on th inside, their fibreglass work really could be a lot better.

(sorry but i dont know how to rotate pictures on here)
