I did a search but I need specifics please whether I REALLY need a catch can installed by my tech on my Gen 4 ACR as I have heard of too many problems with oiling issues. Is it really needed for aggressive street use or just track use? How much should I expect to pay for the parts and labor? Is there a difference in which one to buy? Does it void the warranty? Please be specific before I get this or really need this. Thanks in advance.
GTSR, re-read the post on pistion problems. The experts such as Herb, Mark @ Woodhouse, Dan @ DC are the ones to ask regarding who needs one.. Don't know the tech's @ Tomball but I'm sure their also pretty sharp considering the handle Ben and Bernie's race-cars.
Issues seem to happening on cars on road courses, with lot's of time in the upper RPM range. Also, most if not all are also running the "off road" mopar controller. Price, see the DIY link, $200? DC has one and some folks are buying the ACRX version.
IMO if your just running on the street, stock motor and you can buy 93 at the pump, you don't need one. But, strongly consider an extrended Chrylser warantee when your 3/36 runs out.
