CCA of battery and Roe exhaust

I just finished installing my Roe exhaust... So eager to fire it up and listen to the wonderful tones. Slow turn over, click click.... Battery is dead. I will probably pick one up tomorrow prior to removing the old one. My question is how many CCA's and top or side post?

And for those that have not installed a GEN 1 Roe exhaust system... It is a piece of cake. Not including taking off the side sills, which only took 10 minutes per side, it took less that 40 minutes per side to install without any help. I would think totalled, reinstalling the sills you are looking at an hour per side. And those stock CATS, whoa! I took a look inside of it.... Talk about a restriction!

Very cool. Could the exhaust job be done with the car on the ground, or would a lift be necessary? Any welding or was it bolt on? Good on ya'!!

Done on the ground. No welding if you have a 94 or 95.

Oh, and to answer your question; you want top post ONLY rated at 770 Cold Cranking Amps. It's funny these bad boys don't last longer. I just bought the Deltran battery tender off of ebay and am hoping this will minimize future battery issues. I have a 1995 - Do you have any tips for installing the exhaust system? Where did you get it and what components did it incude. Let us know how it sounds. I've got a totally stock system and NEED a better sounding exhaust.

Remove the sills

1. Hit the rusty screws on the clamp that holds the turn down on your existing muffler, this needs to come off in order to get the bolts out on the muffler hanger.

2. Remove both bolts on the muffler hanger.


3. Saws-all.... Cut the stock exhaust off in front of the cats right by the weld.

4. Use heavy sandpaper or a small rotatary tool to grind the rust off the pipe remaining.

5. Put some lube, I used WD-40, on the pipe you just cleaned.

6. Slide on the exhaust and clamp it down!!

7. On the old exhaust will be a piece of rubber you will need to use when mounting the new muffler onto the car. You will need to take the saws-all again to cut some ******* off the stock muffler in order to get the rubber off.

8. Slide the rubber onto the new muffler hanger and bolt up to the car.

9. Install and align the turn down. You will need to slide the sills on to align them. If Roe does not do it polish the turn down first, it is stainless steel.

Reinstall the sills.

It is litterally that simple! From what Roe told me if you have a 92 or 93 some welding is required.

Bought it from Roe's website, currently $40 off. The mufflers are actually Borla's and the cats are Roe high flow cats.

94RT10Ohio, how does the Roe exhaust sound? Is it loud enough or rumbly? I have heard so many mixed opinions on it, that's why I've been holding off on changing the exhaust system in my '95.

any chance of recording a sound clip with them on so we can hear? ive been wanting the roe for over a year but i just kinda wanted to hear a clip before i buy it just to make sure i like the sound

Just fired it up. I am very pleased with the sound. Deeper sound, louder, but not to loud. As for a sound clip I might be able to but not until next weekend, laptop is at work.

I think, with the top on, it's loud. Going off the gas, it rumbles like thunder.

I have a [******] exhaust on my Venom and boy does it sound good. When my snake warms up in the driveway it rattles the doors on my house. OOOHHHH I love it.
