Thinking about changing out the heater hoses on a 95 RT/10 at same time I do the radiator hoses....current heater hoses do look good, however. Has anyone seen a heater hose blow ? Thinking back, I'm not sure that I have. Thought I'd seek the wisdom/experience of the board. Do Viper Techs normally change these hoses when they change out radiator hoses? Thanks in advance.

Since i've only had this car a little over a year, I haven't had the pleasure of having a heater hose blow. I have, however, had the pleasure of one going on another vehicle. Judging from the heat that this engine produces, degradation of hoses is very quick. Since you're going to have the coolant drained anyway when you change the radiator hoses, it would be a good idea to go ahead and change the heater hoses as well just as a precaution.

Steve,
If at all possible, change ALL hoses. Servicing a '95 should require a bit more attention than would a newer model. It gives you "piece of mind" knowing you won't chance a dreaded breakdown. Don't forget to do a system flush and replace your radiator cap - It's time.

Regards,
Doug

I am going to change out my hoses in the near future and will replace them with Sean Roes Silicone set as well. I think it is a good peace of mind.
Doug, thanks for the reminder on the cap replacement as well. Do you just get them from dodge or is there an upgrade?
Thanks

THANK YOU ALL...I'll take posted and e-mailed advice and go with Roe Racing's silicone kit and replace heater hoses as well...will ask Sean if he has any suggestions on silicone for heater hoses. Again, many thanks!
