Changing my plugs in the Gen II\'s -wow!

I just found out it's a heck of a lot easier to do then my Gen I was!! I dreaded beating up my knuckles up in the Gen I's but is there something different in the Gen II's? I didn't have to take anything off except the air intake assembly..which was simple. now won't have a problem changing my plugs evey 5k miles.

I hope changing the plug wires are easier.

Take off the plastic in front of the windshield and the wires will be real easy.

How about the heat shields? They're kind of a pain.

I changed my plugs this weekend. Wow! What a difference! The motor runs like it's brand new.

No joke on the Camaro/firebird!
I had a Procharged 95 TA, I had to change the plugs all the time to keep it happy

I ended up having to drop the headers to finish the plugs! Hehe.. a 2-week job, but it got done ;)
Ever try the old L98 motors w/ the factory A.I.R crap and stock manifolds still on? SHEESH!! I took out a sawzall and cut all the air tubes out... fixed that problem LOL

Has anyone removed the heat shields and in place just use the a quality set of high temperature plug wires?

I did this in my Ram truck because I heard that the metal shields were a problem with the spark grounding through the shield as the OEM wires age.

Got my new wires last week. OEM, numbered wires, factory sealed elbows and ends with the Viper insignia. $104 list, 20% VCA discount, free shipping, and a really cool T-shirt.
Not a plug, just a good deal.

Hey Robert, what was the Mopar part # on that set of wires? I should replace my original set.

Andy,

Just call JonB at Parts Rack, or the Viper Wizard at Tators. No part number needed. These guys know their parts...

Stock red ones or high temp blue ones. Both DC parts. The choice is yours!
