Chasis Lube

Owners manual mentions that we need to lube our chasis. Has anyone done this at home? What tools and grease do you guys recommend? I even have the service manual but it's not clear how you do it. I guess there are places where you stick the grease gun into???

You need a Service Manual. Ebay has them all the time.
Get Mobil1 synthetic grease, it's pink inside the silver tube.
The manual shows all the grease locations.

Craig - I have the manual and i can see roughly where they suggest but there was no close up pictures...

3 grease ******* are located at the four corners of the Viper...easy to find with wheels off, can use hand operated grease gun or pneumatic type (I prefer the latter), fittings will snap on to engage, and often require a firm tug to disengage...take care to avoid over filling the boots that will expand as you fill them. This is a good time to do brake fluid change, check brake pads/rotors as well, replace as needed. FUN STUFF !!!

Make sure you have a Service Manual...not the owners manual. The Service Manual has pictures of where you lube and a billion other things you should read.

make sure you do not grease the brake bleeds. the look a lot like grease fitings if this is your 1st. time ask some one to help you. tomuch is not good. blow out one of your boots then you will not keep lube in it very well
