My viper I got last month has a rough feeling paint job. I read on the Zaino's web site about Clay Bars. They say it will remove the tiny bumps on the paint. Has anyone used these? I am thinking about buying the Complete Zaino's car kit. Any suggestions?

I have never done the bar myself but had people do it for me. It works great to remove surface stuff. Order the zano, you cant go wrong.

Make sure you start with a perfectly clean surface - no grit or grime. Once you use the bar, the surface will be like glass. You'll love it.

I have a door like that, smooth as glass on the top and on the side it feels rough to the touch. I thought it was a repair, but it must be factory as there is absolutely no evidence of any after factory work. Let me know if the bar works.

When I got my car back from the dealer and there was some rough overspray of something that wouldn't come off with regular washing. I tried tar remover and it didn't work either. I finally used the clay bar and like 96 GTS said it's smooth as glass now. Just make sure you lube it with a lot of detail spray with no dry spots. If you go over a dry spot with the clay you'll leave a streak and it's a pain to get off.

Just pick up the Mothers like Maui suggested. Lubricate well with 1/2 soap and 1/2 water in a spray bottle (you can't use to much).

Is there any such thing as claying a car too much. I just clayed my door. It's better but I still feel a little of the roughness that's left. Don't want to overdo it.

Exactly. And there shouldn't be any rail dust on a Viper ????? I clay bared a black 911 and it scratched the whole car....then I spent all day polishing out the scratches.
