Open the hood and gently wipe the pooling water out with your finger. Or use an electric leaf blower. Problem solved.

I think my way is best!!

After washing and drying the car off, place the shammy in the area with the water letting it get absorbed while cleaning the rims. By the time you finish cleaning the rims its all absorbed.

I agree... I use the California Water Blade to get most of the water off, and then I use THE ABSORBER synthethic shammy (better than my most expensive leather ones) to get the rest.

Reminds me of when I hear people that **** the snot out of their babies nose with their mouth. Alot of old school/grandparents do that. Now I know why I am not a parent. Sorry if I am getting off topic. On your question, I use a electric leaf blower on my car when drying.

Be real careful with them calif water blades, if anything gets between it and your paint instant scratch. I would stick with the blower, 100% cotton towels and/or chamious. (sp?)

I rinse the blade before drying.

As for the dirt... the same thing would happen with towels or chamois'... if a piece of dirt gets stuck, get the Zaino out to buff that scratch

YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!! That is the most disgusting thing I've ever heard!!! Now.... Opening the hood works pretty well. You've got to do that anyway to clean the tops of the sidesills. I scratched the hell out of one of my Corvettes with that California squeegy thing! It went directly in the trash without passing go or collecting $200!

After I shammy as much as I can I use a wet/dry vac to **** up the rest. I would not suggest using anything that blows(leaf blower, etc) ends up blowing all kinds dirt/dust particles in while blowing the water out.

I open the hood and let the water drain out(like others have suggested) then blow out the remaining water with the air hose. Also, since water likes to pool up in the sideview mirrors, I fold the mirrors back and blow them out with the air hose too. Dry the car off with a micro fiber towel. Tried the 210 MPH leaf blower once and stirred up a bunch of dust from the ground.

I use an air compressor and blow the air out first, then dry the car. To remove the wax that may be on then, use plenty of tooth picks.

I actually use a Japanese product called "Kamikaze", to my knowledge the only way to get this product is if you own a professional detail shop. A friend of mine owns one in Florida and so he lets me purchase a case from him. It works great and if you can get your hands on any, I would highly recommend it to any. Before I used that as weird as it may sound I used Black Magics "New Car" clear coat protectant, worked great but they don't sell it anymore. Or atleast I haven't been able to find it anywhere.

Oh one more thing, not sure if you ever have trouble with water spots or streaks on the windows but the best thing to use in that arena is computer monitor cleaner, comes in a can, sprays out as a light foam. And use crinkled up news paper to wipe it off, its fast, easy and leaves no streaks. I love it!

I use a leaf blower to dry my car. When I get to the part of the speaker's ( aka grills) I just hold it over it and it blows all the water out!

Works for me!
