Here is a weird one. I’m coming onto I-75 down a long entrance ramp with a wall that seperates the on ramp from the express way. I look over and on the other side of this 3ft wall is a C5 ragtop with the top down so I start to get into it. He’s not looking (right!)we're only 6 feet apart, and I proceed to nail it through 2nd, 3rd, hit 4th to beat him onto the expressway (stupid guy stuff). I start smelling something funny. Up ahead I see a semi on the side of the road and ...the entire roadway is WET, like real WET with diesel fuel as I'm entering a gradual s curve to the left onto the expressway. Realizing that I’m in trouble I’m off the gas and then whoosh, through fuel.

I was worried the car was going to break loose on the slippery diesel fuel and momentum would carry me straight into the semi. Lucky enough I had enough speed off, and the turn was gradual enough that I was able to go through the mess without breaking the car loose. No kidding, it was not just damp, it was wet and it was 100ft running to get through it and 2 lanes wide. No where to go. Man I feel lucky. Now I just have to go wash the car and clean the wheel wells, they are very oily inside there and smell pretty nasty from the diesel fuel spraying up.

Today could have been a lot different, I feel very lucky. I also am very happy the Viper has such good traction and my tires have only 4,500 miles on them.

I figure the truck must have had a collision or blown out a fuel filter or something, how else could he have dumped so much fuel so quickly?

WOW, Hug your Wife and Kids to night. There is no telling what could have happened. Good thing your eyes were on the road and not the C-5. How was the car show?

Glad everything turned out well for you. Man, that must have been scary. I'll bet the heart was really pumping after you got through it.
