I have a problem with two things with that auction. They claim:

-> 25% horsepower increase. DO WHAT?
-> "Racing" flywheel? Does it come with "racing" stickers too?

When your advertisement has to make false claims and throw in BS terms with flashing graphics I say no. Unless someone has personal experience with this kit I would walk.

I did the eBay clutch kit I listed as there were oodles of experiences posted.

Do some quick math here Ryan...

eBay Luk clutch kit $165
CrMo flywheel from Big Brakes $400
TOTAL $565, and TRUSTWORTHY.

eBay Stage 3 kit $543

Wanna save a few bucks on a part that when it explodes can remove your legs at the knee joint?

Anyway, as far as other hardware goes you can reuse the pressure plate screws but probably should get new flywheel screws. I think those are recommended, but I'm not sure.

Ryan, As a VCA regional prez, might I persuade you to consider supporting VCA vendors?

You will get the 'right stuff' from guys with a TON of experience.....and you will help keep US in business instead of some flea-bay-fencing operation? And you will set a great example for your members.
Alphabetical, Just to name a few............

DAVE'S
D-C PERF
PARTSRACK
ROE
VIPERSPECIALTIES
WOODHOUSE

(It is ironic that PAYING SPONSORS help make this site available to readers who often FORGET us over flea-bay. )

Thank You....

Well, I hope you didn't think I was trying to go for the full blown public humiliation, but I do rely on this forum for advice to myself, which BTW I did employ in making my clutch decision. And was just trying to give a little of that back.

I would hate to see the flea-bay remark shy people away from the stock Luk kits that you can get for $165, as the reputation of those stock kits are solid here. I do indeed have one in my car.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm a big believer in supporting the vendors that support this site and offer advise free for the taking, but if all you need is a clutch, you shouldn't feel guilty saving a few bucks on what is a good deal.
