Why not get a stock replacement? It is a stout piece and will do the job. Call Chuck Tator, Sean Roe or any other of the fine website supporters :2tu:

Check the archives. Many have used the set that sells on Ebay. Worked for me.

thanks for your responses. I hear about aluminum flywheels, clutches that can handle hp upgrades, etc. just trying to leverage off all the knowledge in the VCA rather than make an obvious mistake. Could you guys recommend brand names, parts, advantages of new vs used, prices??? thanks again, mike

The Ebay clutch is the stock Luk clutch assy, without the dealer tax.

That's what the Viper Wizard said on a previous post:

<< 92-05 Viper clutchs are the same #4848708AC it is made by LUK.
Don't buy it from the Dealer! Did I just say that? Yes I did!
Get the clutch from your local parts store for under $400!! LUK #05-088 and you will also get a throw-out bearing with the LUK kit and you don't get it with DC's kit! To get a T/O bearing from DC, you'll have to buy a slave cyl for $300!

That's where I get mine from! >>

OK Gents, first; thank you all for your insight. There is a good chance I will upgrade pwr to close to 500 ponies, thus I am really wanting a "Heavier duty" clutch etc for the replacement. I have seen a clutch from [******] for 1000 bucks (center force), aluminum flywheel (900 bucks) [******] again; Archer Racing offers a Kevlar product that seems reasonble with flywheel (aluminum) also, seemingly reasonably priced. The [******] options..toooo much for me, the 450 price of Archer Racing seems about right....One last question, do I need to replace the slave cylinder??? My understanding is that I need to replace both the slave and the throwout bearing, as it is one piece (dealer provided or Dodge supplied only.) OR can you buy a throwout separately??? Any last comments welcomed as I make my first repair/upgrade to an otherwise bone stock black 93. thanks much guys/gals Mike

I have 607HP and 768TQ with stock clutch. Does not slip and has 41.000 miles on it. I see no reason to "upgrade" to a more expensive unit.

The Luk clutch is an upgrade of sorts for a '93. It is the same as used in Gen II's (1/4" larger disk). Works well with the original flywheel so a change is not required. Should be good to go for 500hp. More than 550 hp I would start looking for an upgrade.
