Code 42

My GTS came up with the service engine light. After doing the code check by watching the number of flashes, it came up 42. However when I looked in my service manual, I see three differant things listed for 42. Is there a way to find out which one I'm looking at. Thanks Jeff

"Code 42" 2/1 [right front] O2 shorted to voltage.
Possible Causes:
>Sensor output wire shorted to a power circuit
>O2 sensor failure
>Connector terminals
>Connector wires
>Open O2 sensor signal circuit
>Suspect O2 heater circuit
>Powertrain control module failure
