Cracked center console solved

The dealer finally covered it under warranty after a month of back and forth. Thanks to Chuck Tator for the inside scoop or else they probably would have broken me down and I would have just paid for it.
First they said we do not cover it. Many calls and emails later (Chuck Tators help). Oh yes we cover it but...
The final problem was the fact that I own a used car dealership. They said they have the right to deny certain repairs being that I am a dealer.I have owned the car for almost 3 years but to them its a dealer car and it must be for sale.Hmmm? I own other business also. Whats the difference what I do for a living. I bought a viper with a warranty. I have owned new mercedes NSX's but never have had such problems. But in the end the viper is well worth the aggravation. This car is a blast!!!

where exactly do the consoles crack? Does anybody have a picture of the crack in the console?

Mine cracked on 00 GTS. Dealer replaced it no ????. If we are talking about the same piece. Just behind the parking brake. I leaned I guess a bit too much of my weight on my right elbow when bending down to pick something up off the passenger floorboard. Hear a sickening crack and there was a 6" long unsightly crease down middle of console. Surprising thing is that the dealer said the part was nearly $600. Wow.

I leaned on mine also. Call dodge warranty center and they will call your local dealer and tell them its covered. Mine had multiple creases.

I have the same problem. What is involved in removing the old one and installing the new one? I'm not sure I'd let a local dealer in my car unless it's goof proof.

2000 GTS, had mine replaced under warranty two weeks ago. Same deal, where my elbow rests.
