This arrived today, if any of you have a crate engine PCM with these problems, here is your answer

The Viper Crate Motor PCM PN# 5007144 was mistaken built from the
V10 truck module instead of the Viper configuration. This results in no tach output or cooling fan control. Anyone that has purchased one of these modules can call Motorola direct at 248-324-9444 and speak to Tony Krstevski to arrange for an exchange for the correct hardware configuration PCM.

They make a bunch of automotive systems computers for many different car and truck manufacturers. Matter of fact, they are all built in Seguin, Tx., about 14 miles from here. (San Antonio area) Most of the engineering work is carried out in Illinois, but production lines are here.
