All right, this one has me baffed:

Have had the car a few weeks now, give it a good run yesterday and shut the car off and the daytime running lights are still on. Thinking maybe there was a timer like some other cars, let it go for a minute, nothing. Checked underhood fuses and relays at the positive tender area, nothing, all is well. Under the dash, nothing, all is well. Played with ignition switch at the wheel, nothing.

I now cruise around with a 15mm wrench in my back pocket (complete with Plumber's butt) to disconnect power to the car when it's stopped, also rendering the alarm and door solenoids useless. Thought a night unhooked would reset the ECM and fix the problem, nothing!

I realize this is a limited question to those with knowledge of Canadian spec cars, but can anyone offer any tips on this one?? What a drag, even the location of the relay to check it out? I've had stuck closed relays before in other things, but stuck open, this is new!

Manual is on its way for the car which should have some info in there, but staring at the car in the garage is getting stale after a day!!

genXgts,
I'm no expert on daytime running lights, but maybe this will help? You may have a problem with the "Daytime Running Lamp Module" it is located by your hood switch [right side]. It gets it's main power from the "Power Distribution Center" the fuse box under the hood. Hook your cable [+] back up and then pull fuse #17 [20amp] and see if that will power down the lights? If that works, I would have to say that the "DRL" module is at fault. If that's not it, your welcome to give me a call and maybe I can help you over the phone?

Hope this will help... put your left hand thumb and place
it on the headlight switch...(left of steering wheel) now with minimal pressure, push the switch in towards the dash. :)

Hi guys (and gals)

Ok so daytime running lamps would be handy in the UK can you add this feature to the car by installing the running light module ?

Thanks

Running light module....

Take left hand and excersise thumb and first finger by contacting
the end of the appendages together at a 1 second interval.

Now extend the left hand to the headlight switch and synchronize
the connection of the ends of the appendages to the recess of
the switch. Once contact is established, apply equal pressure to the switch with the ends of the appendages. Now with minimal pressure turn switch clockwise fully and then pull switch out untill no further travel is observed.

As my girlfriend always says " I like it, its like magic "

P.S. couldn't resist :)
