DEER WARNING

Tonight I was returning from a nice ride out on the thruway.
I was about 2 miles from home (residential area) and 2 large deer jumped right out in front of me.
Slammed the brakes praying to stop short.... and thank goodness for ABS!!! I came so close I check the front of the car when I got home in the garage for deer hair. But nothing...just missed her!!!!!
The car literally stopped on a dime... first time I ever "tested" my brakes and I would have to say they passed with flying colors!!

FYI besides watching out for A-holes on the road now at this time of year watch for deer even in the residential areas.. must say they surprised the heck out of me...

Anyone have "sound" advice on any device that truly scares deer away?

I installed the Sean Roe side exhaust system on my car and does the trick...deer run away, even the ones at my house that are used to the sound....

Haha! Antonio! you crack me up! I know your exhuast would wake me up. It's the best sounding one I've heard!

I think walmart sells some type of Deer whistle only they can hear. I don't know if it works or not. I think the whistle mounts on the car and uses the wind to produce the noise. Could be a gimmick..Hopefully the deer whistle doesn't call the deer to ya!

My sentiments exactly! In the past I've said "DC retrofitted" ABS is worth $10,000; to me at least. Great market opportunity for some talented and enterprising Tuner. Any takers?
