I just wanted to tell the Viper world what an icredible job the guys at DSD did on my viper. Rod Harris and Harley are the most professional men I have ever done business with. Not only do they personally over see the work thats being done while the car is there. They also are excellent at communicating with the customer(take notes Scott) And what do you think they were doing to my car when i went there to pick it up AFTER it had been there for almost two weeks....Thats right. they were completely detailing the car . And there was no charge for the detail either. Too bad there are not more people in the business world who really know what customer care really means. THANKS AGAIN GUYS...

They didn't detail MY car. You must've spent a lot of money there to get a detail.

It's funny that the more $ spent, the better level of customer service provided... Like the post where a guy who owned multiple vipers broke one racing, and his mechanic picked his other one up and brought it to the track for him to race. (multiple vipers, hilton, racing) ya, wonder why service was provided there??

01SaphireGTS,
Although your comments may be true for most mechanics / Viper techs, Cam McCracken (Maltby Motorsports, Woodinville, WA) is an exception. He goes out of his way to help all of us no matter how much money we spend at his shop. Example: a few years ago my friend's RT/10 broke down on the freeway on a Sunday. Cam was the first person there in his family car. He put the hood up on his car so that all of the people driving by would think that he had the problem, not the Viper.
Yesterday he changed the oil in my FE GTS. He let me keep it on the rack for 2 hours while I detailed the under side. Then he offered me a steak that he was barbequing there at the shop. My total bill was about $30.00!
He comes to our track days and helps anyone who needs it - free.
So, there are mechanics like that out there. We're just lucky to have Cam out here.

Jeff and Ron are correct about Dick Scott Dodge. Lead by Rod, they make the Viper service business a real pleasure -- no matter how much money you spend with them. I drive almost an hour (past at least 6 other Dodge dealers) to get to them and wouldn't do it any other way. The best in the Detroit area by a long shot!

The Fitzgerald Dodge guys (Laconia NH) did the same for me a while back. Great customer service and even cheaper service.

Bob K: Wish there was someone around here like that ! Really cool move w/ the hood decoy ! Sounds like a great guy. Some areas are more fortunate than others I guess.

I would like to find someone I trusted (with a ramped lift) to change my oil, let alone give me the time to clean the underside in the process.

I second the comments of Jeff, Tom and Bruce.

One time a SRT manager asked me why I drove all the way to Dick Scott Dodge (50 miles) when there are umpteen dealers closer. I told him if he didn't know then he just didn't get it (and he doesn't).

The Dick Scott hyroplane boat won the race this weekend after the Bud boat was disqualified.

Craig, you are correct. The picture I saw on the news showed Dick Scott on the side as a major sponsor.

DETROIT — An hour after Miss Budweiser driver Dave Villwock celebrated what he thought was his sixth Gold Cup title, driver Nate Brown and his Miss DYC teammates were hoisting the Gold Cup and posing for pictures.

I couldn't agree more. Rod Harris is a top notch and all round nice guy...as are the Viper mechanics working there. I am 500 miles from there and Rod has helped me several times over the phone the last few years with really nothing to gain for him. They took care of my steering gear recall and changed all my fluids last year. If I remember right...he had the mechanics come in early so we could be off for the Gingerman MCVO/Il track day by noon last year. A friend from here with a '98 RT had both recalls done and his clutch changed in the same time period. His car went in at 3PM the day before. Mine the following morning. We were both done at noon the next day. They were very accommodating, professional, and efficient.
