I was a good user and did do a search before I posted this message. Here are the questions I have regarding the differences between the 96&97 Viper with blue and white stripes.

1) How are the wheels different? Are they made out of a different material? Do they look different? Was chrome ever an option or do they all look the same?

2) Is the front fiska the same? From the front view of the car they look slightly different or am I seeing things?

3) Is the cluch the same? From what I have read the 96's clutch is better than the 97 - is this true?

4) Is there a "better" one to go with?

5) Anything in particular that I should look for when I go hunting for one? Keep in mind I own a 95 RT/10 so I have a familiar idea of what to look for in a Viper. Anything specific to these years that I should know - in other words anything that I should be aware of that is not similar to a 95 RT/10?

If you can even answer some of my questions I would be happy

1) Forged, not cast
2) Facia is the same, they didn't delete the foglight lenses till 99 (right?)
3) Dunno on this one, I thought they were the same
4) 97 if you are gonna race. 96 might command more for being into year. 98 is the best overall

5) Ask a coupe owner, I have no clue

The most noticeable change is that 97 stripes are a tad narrower (or is it the gap between them?) because they don't go through the license plate area in the rear.
