Not referring to manifold or header variables between the years...from the manifold/header connection to tailpipe what are differences?

The 92-95 had the same exhaust setup, right? Any year could interchange?
The 96 is unique. The cat/muffler is the same but it routed to a rear exit instead of side. A rear o2 sensor was added.
The 97 - 02 only have cat in sidesill? All can be interchanged in this year range?

Hey Craig,

While I do not know GENI/II diff, I do know GenII exhaust from 96+ is manifold (header 98+) to cat, to rear resonator to rear muffler. All rear exit cars have both the cat first (by footwell) and then resonator aft of that, with a clamp in between.

I reserve the right to know nothing.

The '92-'93 exhaust had different factory hang mounts than the '94-'95. They are interchangable, but not without some modification/welding of the hang mounts.

The '96 R/T I do not know.

All Vipers regardless of the year have the cats mounted in the side sill before the muffler. As far as I know, all '97-'02 (and '96 GTS) share the same mount points and routing for the exhaust.

the 96 RT is a one off exhaust - it has the rear muffler, but no side sill resopnators, only cats.... Thus the 15 HP increase using the Gen I engine....

Interesting...I saw an exhaust and the owner said it was a 96. It had mufflers after the cats, still in the sidesills, then they routed to a rear muffler.

This must have been a 97-02 exhaust, right?
