GEN 3 Vipers have HID Low Beam headlights. The projector won't fit your 1994 stock housing.

The best thing to do in your case is to buy a Philips aftermarket HID kit for 9006 type of bulb. 9006 is your Low Beam bulb type. You can choose from a variety of colors white, blue, purple, yellow, etc. The lighting performance will be equivalent compared to a factory HID Gen 3 Viper.

Good luck.

I see. i already got an aftermarket hid kit. it was from r and j. but to get the real true stcok hid look u need to retrofit the projectors or go to a car that already has stock hid and use those. But i guess ill have to retrofit since they wont fit in a 94 housing.
thanks for your help

gen 2s have d1s bulbs and gen 3s have d2s bulbs. they are totally different

WRONG.
GEN 2's have Halogen bulbs not D1S.
GEN 3's have D1S type of bulb which is a HID bulb.
And yes they are totally different.

Actually...you are ALL wrong. LOL

Gen-2's use 9006 Low Beam, and a 9011 High Beam. Dont believe me? Think that Booklet is right? check for yourself and see.

Gen-3's use a AC-D2S DIS, not a D1S DIS. They use this for BOTH Low beam and High beam. There is a shutter in the projector housing that manages the two. That is the "thunk" you can hear when switching to high beams. The inner-most bulbs are NOT high beams, they are combination back-up beams (in case the DIS extinguish momentarily), Flashing (passing) lights (again, if the DIS go out, you lose high and low- they need a backup) and lastly, they serve as running lights for canadian cars. DIS lights cannot be used as running lights.

While we're at correcting ourselves, what type of bulb does the GEN3 use for Fog Lights and High Beams (Back-up High Beams as you call them)?
What I know is GEN-3's use 9145 for Fog Light and 9005XS for High Beams. Is this correct?
What is the K rating of the stock D2S bulbs? 6000K is what I think I know.

The part numbers you mentioned for the "high beams" and fogs sound correct. I will check for sure when I get a chance.

The stock D2S bulbs are between 4300-5000K. I am not aware of any manufacturer that uses over 5000K- much past that, and you start losing light, and thats what OEM's care about. I have compared the SRT lights to a known 6000K system, and the difference is huge. The SRT lights are pure white with a hint of blue, while 6000K is very blue. when you get to 7000K, it becomes "Arc Welder" blue, and much past 8000K, it starts going purple.

Thank you for the information. I've been incorrect all this time.

Be careful about putting higher wattage lights in. I did that one time to a Lexus and in about a year it had fried it's wiring harness. Became very brittle and would not maintain contacts. Needed to replace everything and went back to stock.
Might be different if you just go to a higher color temperature.

My 96 and 03 have has the best lighting systems of anyother car I have owned. Nice and bright, and no one flashes me because low beams are too bright.

One thing as I understand it and my car is an example Gen III Canadian running lights are the fog lights not the headlamps. mine was set to Canadian by the garage and this enabled the fogs.

For those thinking of importing a car HID's in the UK will not pass import inspection unless they have headlamp washers fitted.

My 04 Mamba had the HID's removed and stock bulbs fitted so I fitted a kit from Shaun Roe I had in stock.
