Do stock \'96 GTS valves need maintenance?

I have about 24,000 miles on my '96 GTS. Do I need to have the valves adjusted or inspected? They seem to be a little louder than other Gen.II engines I've listened to. I have done a little roadcoursing, but not more than three weekends worth. Thanks.

Valves ok. Other 96 GTS concerns for roadcourse cars:
PCV harness stinks; Fix under $30
Oil starvation concerns, fixes $530-$750.
Cooling fan/motor/shroud upgrade $139.

{Ignore Oil note above, and crate motor later is about $14k !)
