And appearently the PVO guys said that if the SRT-10 Viper "Carbon" was well recieved publically, that many of the parts could be finding their way into the production Viper.

With the new exotic supercar mark being set by the 660HP, 3100lb Enzo, the 605HP, 3050lb Carrera GT, and also the underrated 500HP (more likely 600HP), 3360lb Ford GT.

Plus the $65K, 500HP, 3000lb C6 Z06 is now looming a year off, with possibly a lighter, 625HP model due as well.

So there is some real pressure out there to go ahead and build the SRT-10 Carbon into the 2005 SRT-10 Viper ACR with it's 625HP and weight savings intact.

I'm betting that they will have some response to these supercars, and this car could be just the ticket.

The GM camp is about to do a great thing for $65K, that's a lot of car! I guess the competing Viper will be over $100K based on the fact the ACRs were what $90K or so, sticker.

Just my opinion, but if the ZO6 is going to be $65k, then I think many will be willing and want to pay $12k more or so, to get an SRT-10 instead! The price of a current ZO6 at less than $50k, is what creates the demand it has. At $65k, for a Vette, NO THANKS!

Now about that Carbon Viper! That news has been out for a while now, and has many of us excited about PVOs ideas and direction for the Viper! Make it $90k and watch the demand that is created! Oh, and then watch GM and Ford sh*t Bricks! :2tu:
