Does any model company make a 1:18 scale bumblebee? I have been looking for awhile, yet all I have found is a 1:43 scale version.:(

Anyone know of one??

Thanks!

Well, if you're in the mood to play, there are 1:18 Maisto red GTS's, that you can take apart and paint yellow. Then, and a major pain, you can try to do the striping with black tape from the hobby store...back in the day, I recall they used to sell very thin vinyl striping on rolls in different primary colors, one being black.

If you are really...really adventurous, you can pick up one of the (many) white/blue stripe GT2's that are floating around and swap out the wheels to try to make it a bumble bee ACR.

Just a suggestion.

hah I have been searching around myself. I can help you though if your up for painting it. I did a model of a gts, it had old wheels but oh well. I did the dupont bright yellow and its almost identical to my car. i then went to autozone or pepboys (i forget) and they sell a pin striping kit that has 6 different sizes of pin stripes. (just like factory the pin stripes were not clear coated!! lol) I picked the appropriate size and bam. done. here is a photo
(and I am no professional painter and it came out great)

if your talking about making a trip for the pin striping im sure someone here will pick it up and ship it to you. your on your own for the paint but im sure there are paints in canada that are close.

AMT ERTL Dodge Viper GTS Coupe Model Kit - eBay (item 140276736500 end time Oct-26-08 17:49:17 PDT)

Revell Dodge Viper GTS V10 Bad to the Bone Model sealed - eBay (item 330280223137 end time Oct-26-08 20:00:53 PDT)

Went and looked through my model stash. Found that both of those two kits have stripes in them!! All I need to do now is go find some paint.....and time!:D As for a 1:18 size, I know where I can go locally for some pin stripes now that I did a bit of research.

Thanks for the ideas!

Robert
