My Soft Top is very Tired. Looking for a spare. There are some for sale in the classifieds. I know the 92's and early 93's were Vinyl coated. Not a big deal for me at this point. I just want to know if the brackets, pins, etc will all line up. If a 93 or 94 top will fit on a 92. I know the part #'s are different every year, but that may not mean that the tops fit different. Please help, thanks.

Jeff: I sold my soft top on my early 93 and had a hard time
figuring fit-up on later model cars. Everyone that inquired
about buying the top inquired about fit-up on their particular
model car. I know that the early 93's have the same mounting
arrangement as the 92's. There is a mfg. date cutoff point on
93's where the top changes. I finally went to the local Dodge
dealers parts department and got a printout on the top pn's.
This shows the various part number changes per car vin#. I
don't think that a 94 top will fit. I finally sold the top to
a guy that had an early 93 with the fender mounted antenna.
These early 93's are really 92 carryovers. Best of luck.

Tom- Thats a nice offer. A 4 hour ride? I got a good feeling that a 94 top will not fit on a 92. The pins up front are very specific on 92/93 cars. Later changed to improve the top. Reminds me of a friend that told me- You are only supposed to drive the car on sunny days / *******. But he is a Ferrari toting garage queen. "Not that there is anything wrong with that".

Chuck- I have been talking with Pat Wynek who has a 92 and a 93. He said that early on- the tops were so bad that there was a recall to owners that put up a fuss. The top that was produced to fit the early cars and stop the leaks is Part # OGA78LX9 on a 92. I was wondering if that part # could be ordered. If I go with the original part # the original problems will re-occur. If the improved top is still available, that is what I prefer. My gut feeling is that I am not going to be able to get a top to fit the car. But if you could please run the # for me. THANKS
