On my 02 GTS i got new rotors and pads for it front and rear. Is it pretty straight forward to change them loosing calipers and pull off then take rotors off install new ones and pads and bolt back together???

Yes, pretty easy. The only trick is retracting the piston in the rear caliper. You must turn the piston clockwise while pushing it in. DO NOT try to just push it in. At least, I think that I've read that you could break it by just trying to push it in. Some people say that they can turn it and push with needle-nosed pliers. I didn't find that it was that easy. I borrow the proper tool from my friendly neighborhood autoparts chain store.

How are people mounting their SS brake lines in the front? I have issues with rubbing and binding with the zip ties.

I generally zip-tied my lines to the ABS sensor wire line. I think that I received instructions with mine which led me to this method, or I got input from forum posts. You use a zip-tie and a half inch long piece of rubber tubing to act as a buffer/stand-off.

Grab the piston from the side with a pair of channel lock pliers, being very careful to avoid damaging the rubber dust boot. Turn clockwise. The piston will walk it's way into the caliper without too much muss or fuss if you push gently in with the pliers whilst turning the piston. I did it that way for years before the tools were widely available (and reasonably priced) to do the job. It will work fine. However, if you run down to your local parts store, they will probably gladly loan you the proper tool to perform this task. The brakes are pretty straightforward other than that little tidbit. Make sure you line up the grooves or cutouts in the piston the proper way, or you will interfere with the proper installation of the brake pads. Or make it impossible altogether.

Have you been drinking ? Sounds like you are a bit too happy :rolaugh:

But, yes, the rotor just gets pulled off without undoing that nut. Maybe you have a bit of rust sticking the rotor in place. Just tap it a bit while pulling it from an edge.

Be sure the bolts are tight when reinatalling the caliper. Many makes apply locktite at the factory..not a bad idea. Some use a large needlenose pliers to push and turn in the rear caliper pistons ( I believe clockwise)

Be sure the hub mounting surface is clean where it contacts the rotor ( scuff up with sandpaper?) . Also scrub the new rotors to remove any cosmoline.
Some manufacurers of brake pads include instructions for proper bedding in of pads...or you can go to their online site for the break-in proceedure
