I took off both of my door panels to get to the regulators and noticed that the previous owner had taken the doors off at least once. One of the trim strips wasn't attached to the door panel at all. I put the panel back on (just lined it up without fastening it) without the strip and it looked pretty good. Has anyone kept their doors like this? I'm asking because I contacted Scharf Automotive a few weeks ago and they said they don't currently have any of the trim strips in stock. I'm thinking about leaving my strips off until they get some in.
