So I'm at the car stereo store yesterday getting a Kenwood KVT-915DVD installed.

After about 3 hours of disassembling my car, they tell me they can't figure out how to get wires to the trunk. Great. So I call Doug and ask him if he knows the best/simplest way to get wires to the trunk.

Not only does he know (of course), but he gets in his car and drives over to the stereo installer and shows him in person how to get the wires to the trunk!

I don't know of *any* tech in any industry who would go so far out of his way to help a person out, and I'm not even his customer (yet ;) )!

It's been said a hundred times before, but I'll add to the praise. Doug Levin is a *GREAT* Viper tech and a genuinely nice guy.

doug is a true viper fanatic.he always answers questions i have even though i am not purchasing many items from him. he never rushes off the phone even though i know he is very busy and he always calls back when a message is left.

i wonder if he is ever going to put a bad a** viper motor in one of his boats, or has he already done that?

A friend of mine stopped by Doug's shop recently and said it was like a Viper supermarket with Vipers everywhere. He said he saw Clark Segal's GTS and it was incredible.

Steve,

They had to drill a hole, but it is behind the driver's seat underneath the carpet backing. You have to remove the rear wheel on the driver's side, dismount the wheel tub, then pop open a panel directly behind the driver's seat inside the wheel well. This will give you a nice path to run wires. But it seems you'll have to drill a hole, anyway.

There may be another way that someone else has used, but it worked well for the installation of my system, and has worked well in practice so far.

Running wires to the rear? Did you install a new amp? I'm look for a stock Viper Trunk Amp if anyone has one they want to get rid of.....

I can't stop saying great things about Doug Levin. I've never purchased anything from him but he has helped me out numerous times. It's a great feeling knowing he is nearby when I'm tracking Homestead. He has gone above and beyond when building relationships with Viper owners.

It's always nice to hear these great things about Doug! That's the reason I chose to upgrade my car with him a second time around. He goes above and beyond to offer help to me. I trust my cars in good hands and he does phenomenal work.

CW,

Yes, I replaced the stock amp. Put a Kicker 550.3 750W in its place

Not sure I want to part with the Alpine amp, though. Should I ever need to return the car to stock, I'd miss it. Of course I might change my mind in a few days and say "screw it" and get rid of my growing pile of stock stuff :D
