Let me tell you guys something that needs to be said.

Personally , I"m going through the roughest time in my life right now. I can't see my hand in front of my face with this haze in front of me and frankly don't see how I can feel better with circumstances that have recently happened over the last week.

Doug is the ONLY person who is calling me 3, 4, 5 or 6 times a day and making sure that I'm alright and helping me by talking with me.

Doug, in times like this, you are a true friend and you , my friend, deserve ONLY THE BEST

Gerald, I could sense things weren't the same.
The only good side about getting older is, that time flies, and
whatever it is your going through will pass sooner.
You have a lot of people pulling for you.
If there is anything I can do, you have my e-mail address.

Two comments:

1. Doug really is an AWESOME guy in every respect. I first met him at VOI 6 in St. Louis and he treated me like some long, lost brother. Mind you, he was swamped with people taking their first looks at a supercharged Viper, but he never hesitated to answer my stupid questions or just indulge my general curiosity. I know he is also very active in animal rescue and other things. He is one heck of an asset to the Viper community and to the world in general. My hat is always off to him.

2. Gerald, not quite sure what is happening in your life right now, but realize that it can ALWAYS be worse. Today I was laying down getting electrical shock treatment to my neck for my recent accident. I had a lot of things on my mind - my GTS about to be sold, my insurance company hosing me on my car accident (say bye-bye to my once-new car), and my impending job loss (writing is on the wall). I then heard an older man in the area next to me (separated by curtains) and the agony this man was in. He couldn't drive himself and he had to have two therapists help him move around at all. You could hear the horrible pain in his voice as they helped him make the most simple of moves. Suddenly I felt pretty darn lucky.

It is terrible to think of people that are even worse off and suffering. Yet it also gives pause to realize just how lucky you really are. Heck, that supercharger alone makes you the envy of most of us!

Hope things begin to look up soon.

Gerald,

Life is never a straight line, more of a sine curve; we like it to be a straight line but there are some things that just aren't within our powers. When you come to this stage, do your best, 'cos that's all you can do, and improvise with the rest.

Think, you also have the solution to your problem, and make the move that will get you out of it.

My 2 cents.

I hope the only thing faster than your Viper is your recovery from whatever is causing your problems. Best of luck.

Gerald,

Hang in there...it WILL get better. You were very instrumental in helping me decide to send my car to D.Levin(it is shipping to Doug in the next week or so)and I appreciated your input on the subject. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Something that might make you happy;

Title: It could be worse

Imagine if you were a Siamese twin, joined at the body, your brother is ***, and you only have one a$$hole. He has a date tonight.

Cheer ya up a little at least?

Like many of the others, I have never met you, but have seen your responses many times and believe you are a good guy. Now here's some serious advice...don't know your problem, but if it is at all a mystery or confusing to the doctors in your area, get the hell out of Tampa and get up north to a major medical community. Pittsburgh, Cleveland, to name 2 examples. My experience with Florida doctors with my parents as they got older stunk....more interested in $$$ then the cure (or so it very well seemed). Just be careful....good luck.
